Owner Builder's Guide & Checklist for Sub Contractors

1. Current Builder/Sub Contractor Licence for relevant trade (Department of Fair Trading).

2. Green Card (OH&S) (Induction course for all people on building site).

3. Public Liability Insurance -
   Check whether client and builder require, check insurer, no dual policies, depending on scope of works.

4. Workers's Compensation Policy -
   Sub-Contractors and for employees, check cover.

5. Necessary "tickets" or training for various machines, equipment.

6. Home Owner Warranty Insurance -
   Check requirements, to whom responsibility rests and check how warranties attach and to whom (HWA).

7. Industry Requirements -
   Business or equivalent, Commercial/Unions.

8. ABN, TFN & GST registration (if required).

9. Fixed address, last 2 clients (min.).

10. Licence No D/L & DOB (ID requirement).

11. Bank Details.
